Anishinaabeg Beading Workshop 101

Barry Ace will be hosting a two hour beadworking workshop on traditional Anishinaabe techniques at The Latcham Gallery. Each participant will create a Great Lakes style floral motif and bead it onto a medallion. Single and two-needle beading techniques will be demonstrated.

Barry Ace is a practicing visual artist and currently lives in Ottawa, Canada. He is a band member of M’Chigeeng First Nation, Manitoulin Island, Ontario. As a practicing visual artist, his work has been included in numerous group and solo exhibitions, in Canada and internationally. Barry has conducted  beading workshops for Gallery 101 in Ottawa and the PAN Am Indigenous Pavillion (2005)
