About Diana Bullock

A lifelong passion for the creative arts first developed growing up in the Birch Cliff area of Scarborough. This interest led to classes in various different mediums.

The beauty, simplicity and Zen quality of Sumi-e (Japanese Brush Painting) led Diana to study the Nagna style of Sumi-e at the Japanese Cultural Centre. In 1999 she submitted a painting and earned her Seal. Diana continues to study eastern art in workshops with Sumi-e artists, including artists from China and Japan.

Diana’s work reflects the influence of eastern and western styles of painting. There are traditional Sumi-e and traditional watercolours with some paintings a mixture of both. New works are also exploring the many possibilities of mixed media and acrylics. Visit Diana Bullock's website to learn more about her practice.

LATCHAM SATURDAYS - Weekly opportunities to make art, see art and explore art through hands-on art activities, artist talks and demonstrations, exhibition tours, performances, special events, art education worksheets and more. Latcham Saturdays runs most Saturdays from fall to late spring.

Latcham Art Centre is proud to partner with the family of Catherine Anne Courtney to celebrate art and creativity with this exciting program.

Catherine Anne Courtney (1944-2017) was a devoted lover of art, nature and poetry. Catherine liked to create paintings of nature when she had the opportunity. She was also a collector of rocks, stones, oak and red maple leaves from wherever she travelled. She often visited the gallery and loved to engage in conversation with anyone about the artists and the subject of the artworks. Latcham Art Centre is pleased to recognize Catherine Anne Courtney and the support of her family.
