Artists from as far as Windsor and as local as Stouffville submitted artwork for consideration in The Latcham Gallery's Annual Juried Exhibition, in all, 157 hopeful artists submitted a total of 281 artworks. The jury, which consisted of Pamela Edmonds, the Curator of the Art Gallery of Peterborough, Anne O'Callaghan, an artist and Co-Curator of the Tree Museum near Gravenhurst, and Ted Rettig, an artist and member of the faculty in the Art Department at Queen's University, had their work cut out for them. Together they considered every submission and were extremely encouraged to see the abundance of submissions. They expressed how wonderful it was to see such diversity and intensity of engagement in the visual arts. In the end they chose thirty-eight works that reflected the best of the entries. The artworks chosen reflect technical proficiency as well as originality in the treatment of the media.
