This is always an exciting time of year at the Art Centre as we welcome artists all across York region and throughout Ontario to participate in our Annual Juried Exhibition.  This year we received submissions from 132 artists totaling 234 individual works. This exhibition features 31 artworks by 26 artists that tackle a variety of subject matter, styles and art-making approaches. I would like to acknowledge our distinguished jurors who had the exciting, but challenging task of considering each and every submission. Thank you Sandy Saad, Curator of Exhibitions and Educations, Visual Arts Centre of Clarington; Renee van der Avoird, Assistant Curator of Canadian Art at the AGO and Matthew Varey, Artist and Head of Contemporary Art at Etobicoke School of the Arts.
