Overview

Yi Mei is a Richmond Hill artist whose work flows from realism into abstraction. Her landscapes and still life paintings often incorporate natural elements—like dried plants from her backyard and moss from nearby ponds—into the surface of the work to make distinctive textures. Her scenes take inspiration from her surroundings and community.
