Emergent Geometries

Kristiina Lahde’s art practice is anchored in everyday encounters with familiar objects: objects that are used to organise, order, or measure. Out of subtle repurposing, ordinary things are elevated into objects of contemplation. Through careful and considered alteration and repetition, new meanings arise. What emerges from her artworks is unexpected, magical, and poetic.

Raffi Anderian

This exhibition features selections from the artist’s Raffi’s Toronto series, originally published as a feature by the Toronto Star. These highly accomplished plein air paintings document famous GTA landmarks, capturing a variety of seasons and times of day. Raffi’s original plein air sketches are shown alongside larger canvasses that the artist completed in his studio to further refine the compositions and explore their creative potential.
