Discover what happens when printmaking and painting come together. In this hands-on studio workshop, youth will learn to create unique layered artworks by combining acrylic plate monoprinting techniques with flowing watercolour washes — building atmospheric compositions full of texture, colour, and creative energy.
No experience needed. You will start by pulling your first monoprint using an acrylic plate, experiment with ghost prints and found texture impressions like leaves and mesh, then layer watercolour on top to create a finished work that is completely your own. Every piece comes out different — and that is exactly what makes monoprinting so fun and unique.
Led by Deeksha Soni, a Toronto-based printmaker and art educator with a Master of Arts in Print from the Royal College of Art, London. Deeksha creates a high-energy, supportive studio environment where young artists are encouraged to experiment, take risks, and surprise themselves.
