Judith Livingston will introduce participants to the cutting, inking and printing of soft, linoleum blocks to create numerous original linocut prints on a variety of papers. To create additional designer papers for more linocut printing, participants will also experience the fun and freedom of Gelli-Plate Printing. Other topics such as incidental off-set printing, mixed media enhancement will be covered.
About the Artist/Instructor:
Judith Livingston, is an award-winning Artist and Instructor with over 35 years of experience. She is graduate of London Teachers’ College and attended OCA for Colour Theory. She has taught and exhibited at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, The FH Varley Art Gallery, and The Latcham Art Gallery, plus numerous art groups. Her work is in numerous Private and Public, National and International Collections.
Her artist statement: When seized by an idea, I enjoy running with it to see where it takes me, and how the challenge will be met. Whether the results are two or three dimensional, realistic or abstract, humorous or contemplative, aesthetic or confrontational – it is an exciting journey.
