Latcham Art Centre invites artists to submit up to two recent works (completed in 2024-26) in any medium to our Annual Juried Exhibition.
This exhibition offers artists working in all media the opportunity to have their work evaluated by three visual art professionals serving as jurors. The public can discover a variety of artwork exploring ideas and themes by contemporary artists from all over Ontario while the Curator has the chance to engage with hundreds of Ontario-based artists.
Images of submitted artwork will not be accepted online. All artwork must be dropped off in-person at Latcham Art Centre on Monday, March 9, 2026, between 10 AM and 8 PM to be eligible for jurying. A non-refundable fee of $35 + HST per artist must accompany each application, payable online or in-person.
Option 1: Pre-register by filling out the form below and paying the non-refundable fee of $35 + HST online, prompted on the next page. Drop off your artwork on the Artwork Drop-Off Date (Monday, March 9, 2026, between 10 AM and 8 PM).
Option 2: Fill out a registration form in-person and pay the non-refundable fee of $35 + HST in-person when you arrive to drop off your artwork on the Artwork Drop-Off Date (Monday, March 9, 2026, between 10 AM and 8 PM).
This year, the Annual Juried Exhibition runs from Monday, March 16 to Saturday, April 25, 2026. $1000 in prizes, including 3 Juror’s Awards and 1 People’s Choice award, will be presented. An honorarium will be paid to all other artists included in the exhibition after the show closes.
Each year, a new panel of three esteemed art professionals are invited to jury submissions. The jurors will be selecting works for the exhibition based on their evaluations of all the submitted artworks. The jurors consider each submitted artwork through an anonymous review: artists’ names, CVs, and identifying information are not included in the jurying process. To ensure a fair selection of work, jurying is based on the following criteria: Technique/Craftsmanship, Originality, Presentation, Composition/Design. Latcham Art Centre staff are not involved in the jurying process.
It is expected that all artists who submit artwork are the creators/producers of the work. For example, art pieces are not to be made from AI, commercial kits, at paint nights or as copies/forgeries of other artists’ work.
As we continue to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Art Centre, we would like to make note of the harmful impacts of cultural appropriation. All artists are to be respectful of other cultures and copyright law. Artists with artwork that constitute cultural appropriation will not be accepted. This may also impact eligibility for future application.
The jury’s decision is final.
If you require assistance in submitting your application, please contact Shailee Guerard at shailee.guerard@latchamartcentre.ca or call Latcham Art Centre at 905-640-8954.
