Art Instructor
Latcham Art Centre is seeking talented professional artist-educators who would love to share their knowledge and skills! We are looking to hire art instructors to run workshops and programs based on what you specialize best in for 2025. Digital Art Instructor
Do you love creating illustrations using Procreate on an iPad? Do you enjoy teaching and inspiring children and youth? Latcham Art Centre is seeking a skilled and professional digital artist-educator to instruct our upcoming 6-session Digital Art program. The ideal candidate is experienced with Procreate, passionate about visual storytelling, and excited to share their expertise with young learners in an engaging, fun and supportive environment. A degree in Visual Arts (or related field) and/or Education and classroom management experience are required along with an up-to-date background check (VSS) for anyone ages 18 and above must be filed with the Art Centre in advance of the course. The VSS must be within a year’s time of employment date.
Responsibilities include:
- creating and providing a lesson plan
- teaching Procreate tools and techniques
- guiding students through hands-on digital art projects
- encouraging creative growth
- creating an inclusive, positive and inspiring atmosphere
- studio set-up (15 minutes prior to the start of each session) and clean-up
Program: Digital Art: Illustration (Ages 9 – 13)
Dates: Wednesdays | January 21 – February 25, 2026
Time: 4:30 – 6:00 PM
Compensation: $397.80
