This is always an exciting time of year at the Art Centre as we welcome artists all across York Region and throughout Ontario to participate in our Annual Juried Exhibition.  This year we received submissions from 170 artists totaling 300 individual works. This exhibition features 33 artworks by 32 artists that tackle a variety of subject matter, styles and art-making approaches. I would like to acknowledge our distinguished jurors who had the exciting, but challenging task of considering each and every submission. Thank you Noor Alé, Assistant Curator/Registrar from the MacLaren Art Centre; Martin Pearce, Director of the School of Fine Art and Music at the University of Guelph, and Stephanie Porter, Head of Education at the Woodstock Art Gallery.
